Hi! My name is Jessica Shoemaker and I am a pastry chef. I design cakes, desserts and other specialty items to help you create a memorable event.
I grew up in Beaver, PA and have recently moved back to the area to settle down with my husband. After High School I studied at Kent State University where I got my Bachelor’s in Communications. A move to Chicago introduced me to so many different new food and culinary experiences and is where my curiosity and excitement of food first started.
My studies of Pastry Arts at Le Cordon Bleu took me to Asheville, North Carolina where I had the opportunity to work under amazing chefs and pastry chefs at The Biltmore Estate. My passion for pastry and desserts truly grew in Asheville after working at The French Broad Chocolate Lounge. For two years, I worked with some of the best ingredients possible, and an amazing team, where we offered unique, delicious, from scratch cakes and desserts to a growing crowd.
Family has brought my husband and I back to the Beaver area, where we both grew up and have roots. Spending time at home with our dog, Kuma and enjoying time with our families is what makes us most happy.
I want to bring my experience and love of hand crafted desserts to this area that I love so much. I have an eye for detail and truly love making events special and memorable. I would love to work with you in planning the sweets for your next event. No event is too small to create a lasting impression.
